| Huawei-3Com has worked with China First Automobile Works to construct a high-speed network in western campus, allowing the auto company to meet market demand and boost its competitiveness in the marketplace. The new network offers a high-performing data switching platform connecting the auto factory's PCs, servers and monitor systems.
A pioneer in China's auto industry, China First Automobile Works manufactured the first truck in China. To keep pace with its growing business the company needed a network that could connect production, sales and services with a secure, reliable and single-data switching platform, and provide fast connection between the supervision of production and daily data management. As a backbone network, it was important to ensure support of the company's entire data communication system.
China First Automobile Works deployed Huawei-3Com's Quidway® S8512 10G core routing switch, to equip the network with high reliability, compatibility and future-proof features. Double engine redundancy design in key network nodes can effectively avoid single point failure, thus enabling a high reliability core layer link. Quidway® S6506R high-end multi-service switches and Quidway® S3000 series switches are deployed in other network nodes with flexible configuration.
This project is another major initiative with China First Automobile Works since Huawei-3Com helped the company launch its WAN project and export project. The new network in western campus will greatly enhance China First Automobile Works' competitiveness and demonstrates the suitability of Huawei-3Com's products and solutions to the auto industry.
