About Shanghai
Shanghai, an open city on the coast and a famous historical and cultural city, is a gate to the Yangtze River delta. It is a municipality under the direct jurisdiction of the Central Government, the largest economic and trade center, a comprehensive industrial base and the leading port in China. Shanghai as one of the largest centers of economy in China has witnessed the development of the modern history of China. It is now on its way to become an international metropolis.

Group transfers will be provided for conference delegates to and from the airport and hotel. Your transfer to and from the hotel will be based on the flight information you provided on the registration form. Upon arrival at the airport a Huawei-3Com representative will greet you. Please note that it takes approximately 3 hours for group transfer from Shanghai to Hangzhou.

Please note that all delegates who are non-China based are required to obtain a visa in order to gain entry into China. Please contact your local travel office to obtain a China visa application. Once your registration has been completed an invitation letter will be prepared to support your visa application. Please note that we must receive your completed registration form by June 20, 2006 in order for the invitation letter to be prepared on your behalf and allow you enough time to obtain your visa. You will receive this letter approximately one week after you register on line. PLEASE DO NOT DELAY IN APPLYING FOR YOUR VISA.

The unit of currency in Hangzhou is the Renminbi. The exchange rate is approximately USD1 = RMB8.01. While the hotels offer currency exchange facilities, it is suggested that you change your local currency into US dollars before arriving in Hangzhou.

Hangzhou will be in the middle of summer, and the temperature will be high. (July Temp: Average 30'C )

The official language in the PRC is Chinese (Mandarin).

The voltage used in Hangzhou is 220volts. Please ensure you bring the appropriate adaptor for your need.
