) H3C has launched the H3C S3100 and S5100 series intelligent Ethernet switches aimed at improving the networking capabilities of businesses and organizations seeking security, manageability, scalability, high performance and lower TCO.
The launch represents H3C's on-going commitment to developing innovative products to meet the requirements of various markets and customers . The H3C S3100 series switches are high performance, highly reliable wire-speed L2 stackable switches designed for network environments that require high performance, high port density and easy installation. H3C S3100 provides 10M/100M downlink and 100M/1000M uplink Ethernet interfaces. It can be applied as an access device in an enterprise network to provide 100M connections to the desktop. In a MAN or industrial user application, it can provide 100M electrical interfaces in the downlink to connect end-users or low-end switches; In the uplink it can be converged to an IP end-office or large-capacity L3 switch via its GE interface or link aggregation.
The H3C S3100 series switch has abundant intelligent features (e.g. bidirectional speed limit of ports at the granularity of 64 kbps, SNMPV3, VCT and RSPAN) and security performance (e.g. 802.1x local authentication, centralized MAC authentication and SSH2.0). Currently, the H3C S3100 series includes the following models: H3C S3100-26T-SI, S3100-16T-SI, S3100-8T-SI, S3100-26C-SI, S3100-16C-SI, and S3100-8C-SI.
The H3C S5100-EI series switches aimed at high-density full Gigabit interface switches typically are located at the broadband cell convergence layer, MAN edge access layer, enterprise network convergence layer and SMB network core layer. In an enterprise network, the H3C S5100-EI series switch is placed at the network convergence layer, providing Gigabit to desktop directly or by converging FE/GE switches at the access layer. It is connected to the convergence device through an uplink GE or 10GE port.
The H3C S5100-EI series switch can provide abundant access modes, guarantee L2 line-speed switching, and support for various L2 protocols with a powerful ACL/QoS capability. In addition, it supports bandwidth limitation, L2 multicast, 802.1x access user authentication, SNMP network management, and Web network management. H3C S5100-EI series include the following models: S5100-26C-EI, S5100-50C-EI, S5100-24P-EI, and S5100-48P-EI.
