Huawei-3Com, the worldwide IP networking market leader, held the first "Huawei-3Com Certified Senior Network Engineer" graduation ceremony recently in Hong Kong. All network engineers receiving the certification have demonstrated a proven ability to deploy Huawei-3Com's network products in designs for medium to large scale enterprise networks and master advanced network application techniques for routers, switches, VPNs, network security, Quality of Service and network administration solutions.

The Huawei-3Com Certification System is the first network technique certification system in China set up with international standard. It is also the first China enterprise to provide IT certification system service to the global market. Under its guiding principle of "being realistic and specialized, making use of what has been taught", Huawei-3Com has been building close relationships with its channel partners in many industries through professional training and certification programs like this that strengthen their competitive edge. Huawei-3Com currently has more than 40 training centres and 140 network schools in China and overseas. By the end of 2005, there were 40,000 engineers enrolled in training programs and more than 20,000 of them obtained the certificate.
