Huawei-3Com Builds VoIP System for Shandong Xinwen Mining Group Corporation

Shandong Xinwen Mining Group Corporation and Huawei-3Com have reached an agreement to build a VoIP system to offer an upgraded voice communication channel between branches and headquarters, making critical business communications less expensive and more convenient to deploy.

Previously, the Group was using the expensive and inconvenient Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) for both internal and external communications, resulting in an under-utilization of network resources. With business expansion continuing, communications between HQ and the Group's branches is becoming more frequent and more important, there was an urgent need to lower the cost of internal communications and satisfy the demands for converged data, voice, and video communications.

Huawei-3Com deployed its XE2000 series IP PBX system to connect the core voice devices in the Group's internal network and integrate those devices into an IP voice network that is easy to maintain, manage and upgrade. Upon completion, the integrated IP communication platform will be able to support the Group's headquarters and other branches. The Group's implementation of VoIP helps better utilize network resources, improve the reliability, security and stability of the network, while significantly reducing the cost of voice communications.
