| Huawei-3Com will build a new network for Hu Bei Electricity in China, covering electricity supply centers in 49 cities in 12 states and counties that will deliver a highly efficient electricity billing system.
The large-scale centralized network will provide innovative electricity sales data system that offers reliability and security for centralized billing management.
A set of high-end multi-service Quidway® S6506R switches will be installed in the convergent layer of electric supply centre of each county, with 70KM optical connection to the ATM WAN of the electricity supply centre. S6506R is designed with stackable technology to offer carrier-class reliability and high compatibility. Providing a high-speed, high-availability network platform, it offers flexible network resource allocation functions to enrich the electricity sales services.
After the completion of the project, the sales resources of Hu Bei Electricity network will be under a unified platform for macro-management and coordination, providing better personal customer services and greater visibility into sales and power usage data.
