| Huawei-3Com will build China Nuclear Industrial Group's internal and external networks, setting a solid foundation for a future Wide Area Network and Triple Play over IP.
As one of the top ten military enterprises in national defense technology, China Nuclear Industrial Group's business includes nuclear power, nuclear engineering and national defense, covering a combination of both private and public projects. With the rapid development of the group's business, services are increasingly operated with inter-departments and multiple platforms resulting in network bottlenecks that are impacting the business performance.
Taking into consideration the current network situation and its future upgrade needs, China Nuclear Industrial Group will deploy Huawei-3Com Quidway® AR46 series intelligent service centre routers for the access network. Quidway® S6500, Quidway® 5600 and Quidway® S3000 series switches perform as both the internal and external data exchange platform. Firewall and servers devices are applied to provide encryption and backup for high security and reliability. The whole network will offer powerful bearing ability and expansibility.
The core LAN network in the main office building will provide a foundation for a VPN-based WAN to enable triple play over IP of data, voice and video for the whole company network. Slots reserved for future network expansion are already considered in the construction design. The new network will significantly enhance the competitiveness of the core business, providing opportunity for business expansion through the application of advanced data technology.
