Quidway® S6500 series super engine Salience III is a complete new generation engine for S6500 series switches. It delivers much high switch capacity with XGBUS technology. It also provide abundant optional LPU boards including full wire-rate GE LPU boards, PoE LPU boards and 10GE LPU boards. Engine Salience III is compliant with all the traditional LPU boards, and can be applied in all the products including S6503 (4 slots), S6506 (7 slots), and S6506R (8 slots).
S6502 is the new member of S6500 series switch. It is a layer 3 switch with totally two slots. Specifically, the first slot is for switching and routing process unit (SRPU), but the SRPU also provide interface: P12TE (12 1000BASE-X SFP ports+4 1000BASE-T ports), T12PE (12 1000BASE-T ports+4 1000BASE-X ports), and in the future abundant SRPU with interface will be provided.
