| Huawei-3Com has been awarded contracts by Li Jiang Airport and Ban Na Airport, 2 leading airports in Yunnan Province, to construct the airports' data communication networks.
With the newly constructed networks, Li Jiang Airport and Ban Na Airport will be able to connect to networks from airports around the world, including lounges, hotels and on ground services buildings. The new networks will allow for strong network support for different operations including transportation, on ground services, fire safety, security and general management.
The airports will deploy Huawei-3com Quidway® S6506 high-end multi-service switches and S3500 intelligent switches, which act as a pair of redundant backup at the core layer. S3000 and S2000 switches as well as R series routers are deployed at the access layer. Quidway® series products offers comprehensive routing protocols, VLAN control, traffic switching and QoS guarantee to enable effective network management for terminal users, therefore enhancing the airport's ability to manage its services and network safety.
After the completion of the two airports networks, various multi-services functions can be fully satisfied, including aviation coordination, backend protection, delivery logistics, enquiry on safety inspection and ticketing. Looking forward, the two airports will introduce Voice and Video IP networks to offer more advanced services to thousands of passengers.
These projects further reinforce Huawei-3Com's leadership in enterprise network management market, specifically within the aviation sector. Huawei-3Com networks have been widely deployed in airports in China, including Kun Min, Shenzhen, Ji Nan, Da Lian and Harbin.
